Hello Members,

Please I want to create material requisition in AX 2012 for production department to request material for BOM consumption.

Note: the Items are in Store already ,no need to purchase . I want to create a flow for them to raise material requisition and submit it for warehouse.

That would be the production order picking list I presume?

Where you move stock prior to production to a warehouse for consumption you would have created transfer orders based upon item coverage.

Both of these are the material requisition.

If production want to add material to a production order which is not normally part of the BOM add it to the ProdBOM, create a pick list and issue that to stores.

I Presently I want to create a form where the Production supervisor request for raw material in AX on daily basis before the warehouse do the transfer to production.

What is the best way to implement this.

The Transfer order will still be used but i want the Production staff to request for the raw material.

Presently, we have a material requisition booklet that the the Production Department used to request for Raw Material from Warehouse before Warehouse can issue the Raw materials to them.

How can we implement this in AX 2012.

Requisitions are in AX only related to purchases.

Does the produced items have a BOM with estimated quantities or is that impossible.

If the BOMs are rather good estimations, you should try using master planning. That would automate the transfer requirements or at least be a guide for the P. manager to follow. The planned orders have an approvment process that can be used for approval.

This will also help purchasing be up front about item requirements to your warehouse.

If master plan isn't applicable, you can use transfer orders manually. If you need multiple steps you can used planned transfer orders manually.

Actually the Warehouse manager want a template where the Production can be using to request for raw materials.

2. Please can you give me the steps or manual on Master planning Order if it will work

3. We use transfer Journal under inventory and warehouse management , please which one is Planned Transfer you mentioned.

If you are not using planning this is a huge change to turn it on.

If you want a screen to request raw materials that someone then put into a transfer journal and you do not consider the warehouse manager capable of using that screen you would need to write a cusomization to achieve what you want.

Hello again,

Yes. Using master plan can be a pretty big step and require a lot of setup on items and BOMs, but if you have a lot of different items moving from Warehouse to Production facilities and have a pretty good idea on your BOM consumption I would make the effort.

My idea for a manual process would be to use transfer orders. Then the production manager can put in the items and the warehouse gets a picking list. After picking the items are shipped and you can even have a receipt step in your production facility. You can have multiple steps here or just one registration from your warehouse workers.
