Russian localization: Cities of Russian addresses are being blanked out

Hi,

My client is active in the professional services sector (focus: dredging and civil engineering works) and wants to create Russian addresses for vendors/customers/... (i.e., parties).
It occurred to us, in view of an integration that is set up with their legacy systems, that there are fields (LogisticsPostalAddress_City) which are being blanked out.

My question is:

Could this be related to Russian localization features that I am unaware of?
What is the purpose of the parameter 'Disable Russian address format validation?' on the Address setup - Parameters FastTab (mi=LogisticsAddressFormat)?

Hey Brecht, this is regarding the Russian address format. If it's enabled, the city will be stored in the field designated for the RU localization. However, if you disable the validation for the Russian address format by activating the "Disable Russian address format validation" parameter, the global city field "LogisticsPostalAddress_City" will be used instead.
