Someone can explian me the meaning of target license plate?

Why if I pick aLP n°1 during pick-put I have to declare a target license plate? ... and it should be different?

Is there any parameter that activate it? I have not find it on the guide V2.0.

Tks,

Roberto Bettinelli

If you are picking from a location and only picking part of the quantity from the pallet, you would not be able to re-use it, thus you'd need to specify the LP you are going to move the goods on - that's the target LP

if you are taking the entire license plate when picking, you'd get the target LP pre-populated with that LP number

But in my case I started to pick a SO.

I declare LP "D003" and I'm picking the entire qty; why is it asking me a target LP?

If i put again "D003" i get en error.

Are you picking from a non-license plate controlled location? If so, the reason it's asking for a Target LP is because whenever inventory is put on a User Location (as it is between a Pick and a Put step) it needs a license plate.

Could you, Rob and Ivan, give us more information about this user location? I've created a profile and specified it in the Warehouse management parameters. Now I'm trying to make a SO pick and I want to see in which location (between pick and put) AX is going to put the goods? Do I define a specific location for every user? I keep getting errors during the pick and I think it's related to this user location.

The user location has the same name as the work user itself. So if your work user id is "24", like in USMF company in demo data, the user location will have the same id, "24", and will have the location profile for USER locations specified in Warehouse management parameters. This location profile needs to be LP-tracked.

So yes, it's a specific location for each work user, and depicts the "fork lift" or whatever transportation means the warehouse worker uses to move goods around the warehouse.

Hi Vanya, I have location RR2001 that holds 15 pallets of same item (with 15 different LP). When work is generated the Location directive correctly splits the qty into full LP qty. If I pick the first LP I see what you describe above - that the Traget LP is pre-populated), but if the Mobile device asks me to pick the second LP the Traget LP remains the same from the first picked pallet.

So in summary on a SO that picks 3 pallets I get one Target LP for three full LP picks.

    Is that expected behavior?

Do you have the "override target license plate" flag checked on the mobile device menu item? If so, the system will ask for different LP than the picked LP even if you pick the full quantity.
