Location Dimension disabled for financial inventory

How I can manage the financial inventory by location? because the check in storage dimensions is disabled

The purpose of doing this is to get a valuation report inventory that is coming out in white on the field location

The report is obtained:
Inventory and warehouse management-> Reports -> Status -> Inventory value-> Inventory Value

But even explodes the site information, storage and batch does not per location, I guess it can be by check which can not be enabled.

Is it because of licensing? About report , perform various tests, many combinations also look for manual configuration without success

You need to setup storage dimension group with product:

Click Product information management > Setup > Dimension groups > Storage dimension groups.

Hi Zoila,

I did a quick test in R3 CU8 - you can't tick 'Financial inventory' on the Location dimension in standard AX.

If you were able to, AX would track the cost of an item at location level - which would mean that an Item could have a different cost in different locations in the same warehouse. You already seem to be able to have a cost for each batch. Do you really want to allow a different cost for the same batch in different locations?

If you want to know the value of stock in each location, I suggest an alternative approach. Er, unfortunately, I can't actually think of one off the top of my head!

eventually we found another way to reconcile the reports and information costs and made to see that in standard Ax does not include this functionality.

Can you provide some additional Information on your other way (Workaround) in case others might face a similar issue and search for a solution.

The original problem was to have the value of the inventory shown by location in the inventory value report. The case is not to have different costprices per unit for each location.

For us this is a request from the auditors, to help them select what locations to check the counting for.

Have you come right? I need to track costs for FIFO at a location level, just to discover I am unable to tick the location checkbox.
