Is Microsoft Dynamics SL 2015 supported to run on Windows Server 2016?
Yes, we're running SL 2015 CU2 with SQL 2017 (14.0.2027.2) without issues.
Dynamics SL 2015 and 2015 CU1 are not supported in Windows Server 2016. They only certified up to Windows Server 2012.
Dynamics SL 2015 CU2 IS supported and certified on Windows Server 2016 Standard Edition.
However, I have several clients running 2015/CU1 on Windows Server 2016 due to IT audit reasons; however, there is understanding that it is not technically 'supported' in this environment. They have had no problems whatsoever. I have actually seen Dynamics SL 2011 running on Windows Server 2016 with no known issues (which is kinda scary).
