Inventory Liquidation in NAV

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

This is a one time exercise and we want to handle the inventory liquidation and I am wondering if NAV can support.

I come up this far and would appreciate if you have any different suggestions:

1) Transfer from our main location to a temporary location

2)  Zero out inventory and transfer to Inventory Consignment (Balance Sheet Account)

3) Sale Inventory (General Journal)

Debit cash

Debit Loss Account

Credit Inventory on Consignment

You can use revaluation journal to zero decrease or increase cost of items.

You can use item journal to reduce the inventory including the cost.

After you have posted the above, make sure you run the adjust cost batch report.
