SharePoint unable to crawl AX data

Hi

I've setup search with SharePoint 2010 and for the Microsoft Dynamics AX content source it fails on all items with the error "Error while crawling LOB contents. ( The directory name is invalid. )".

I've looked online and no-one seems to have had this error, has anyone got any things I can check out for this?  It's running via the BDC service and the permissions are all set fine as far as I'm aware.

Thanks

the user that crawl the data should be an AX user, it is not the same like the proxy user.

I've got a domain user who is set as an AX user, with sysadmin and search crawler roles set to the account.  It's just the error which throws me off as from googling nobody seems to have reported this before, it's almost like something could be pointed at an incorrect location somewhere for it to show this

did you changes index fields for the search, in case of an memo field in ax, this is a lobfield

I haven't changed any index settings myself no, would I do that in sharepoint or AX?  Could you point me in the direction at all?  Had a look around the content source settings in sharepoint but can't see these kind of options, thanks.

thanks for that. so if I create the FT table as it suggests it could possibly fix this, or are more config changes required once that is done?
