Super strange one here. I'm testing out some segments with Customer Journeys. I can add a contact to a segment, add that to a journey, send an email...everything goes well.
However, when trying it with another contact, this particular contact will not add to a static segment. Below is the view after adding a contact. It obviously looks blank.
After trying a few times, I figured that maybe it's a visual bug. I saved it, backed out, and it does indeed look like there is a user in the segment:
But when adding this segment to a Customer Journey, it seems to get stuck on "processing." I have been able to send an email via a different Customer Journey with a different segment while waiting for this one to process, so it doesn't seem to be a matter of waiting for the marketing-insights service. Any thoughts or troubleshooting here?
Thanks!
EDIT: Took about 45 minutes, but it finally failed:
Morning after update: When I got up this morning it still wasn't working. I dove into some unfruitful research, and discovered it wasn't just one account, but seemed to be all of those created this week. Not good.
I was looking to see if I could identify any difference between the accounts created last week and this (there doesn't seem to be), but then segmenting seems to have suddenly started working again—now about an hour in to the day. Hopefully someone knows what is going on here, because we can't just have contacts not be added to segments randomly...really not good.
Thanks all!
Today we are running in this same issues. Impossible to add contacts to static segments. It counts the contact in the number of members but the contact are not visible in the members tab? Should this issue be solved? Is there an update available?
FYI to anyone else that runs into this issue: This was indeed an issue Support needed to fix.
Hi SEDE,
Believe me, creating a ticket will help you to resolve this problem faster than waiting for an answer on the forum in such case.
As the problem you're facing looks to be specific to your environment and your segments and needs investigation.

This problem has cropped up again...looks like I'm going to have to create a support ticket, but at least I may get an answer here.
1) I initially thought so, but no, that didn't turn out to be the case. There were multiple contacts having this issue. The contacts would not appear no matter how they were added, or even if I refreshed, reloaded, etc.
2) No, the Customer Journey email send was stuck in processing. The Segment was able to go live with the same relative speed as always.
3) The contact did still exist, yes.
4) The time is kind of a red herring here; it just sort of started working randomly with no changes made to Dynamics.
Yes, fortunately/unfortunately it seems to be working at this current moment, but should I see it again I will raise a ticket.
Hi SEDE,
this behaviour is strange and needs further investigation. Please create a support ticket directly from your environment and let support engineers check what is going wrong with your segments

Hi SEDE,
1. Is that particular contact the only person that can't be added to the segment? And has the contact finally been added to the segment after saving the segment and refreshing page?
2 Do you mean that only the segment with issue also has "processing" issue when running customer journey?
3. From insights data, it said that the contact was deleted? So did the contact still exist?
4. > but then segmenting seems to have suddenly started working again—now about an hour in to the day.
Do you mean the issue will exist for an hour a day?
If the issue always sustains, you could open a support ticket for further assistance:
