Sales Team Member Apps and Team Member License .

i have a question about Modifying role , If we have Sales Team member license and Sales Team member user can't update Leads / Opportunities but if we go to security roles and modify it to have a right to updating Lead / Opportunity, Does this solution work ? 

My client really want to cut some cost of license. "

    That would be a breach of the licence agreement, if the user needs to update records then they are activley using the system and therefore need to pay for it so would require a licence other than Team Member.

    high level security roles will not override the license, you can check the usage right in the licensing guide in order to assist the customer, perhaps they can opt for professional licenses instead

    Hi,

    The team member license was based on an "honour" process where microsoft expects that you will ensure the security created for team member license is in line with the licensing doc.

    However, change is coming. MS introduced the new team member app which is out this wave. It is designed to lock down the role and start using enforced security. I haven't tested or played around with it. Details below.

    Even if you client wanted to save money now, the client can't do it for long as MS are putting steps in place to ensure that security is met. Depending on the processes within sales module, you should review the powerapps per app plan which might cater for our needs. Assuming your client is on CDS.
