Dynamics NAV 2017 Development Environment - unknown language selected

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

After installing NAV 2017, I am unable to start the Development Environment.

The only error message that is shown is "An unknown language was selected ('8192')."

I have an American English version of Windows (Region is Netherlands) and tried the North American download link as well as the Dutch version of NAV, but the same error message appears.

Does anybody have a solution for this?

Thank you. I also got a similar error while i was using Windows 10, Regional Language setting set to English (Uganda) yet i had installed US (English) version of NAV 2017.

I simply updated my Language to US(English) and my problem simply varnished.

Thank you, changing the languages to my language (Dutch) in the "control panel --> regional settings" was the solution for me!

    Hi,

    Try Deleting .zup file

    Also

Confirm the format and system locale on the user’s machine from Regional and Language Options. You can do that by going to Control Panel> Regional and Language Options> Formats tab> "Current Format" and also Administrative Tab> "Language for non-Unicode programs"
