Manually filling existing contact\account fields on a Lead form automatically populates email\phone\company name fields

Hi,

Facing an issue with a Lead form in a latest Dynamics 365 on-line environment.

When I fill existing contact (parentcontactid) or existing account (parentaccountid) fields manually it automatically triggers internal OOB JS that retrieves those records and populates various information fields on a form.

And this is an unwanted behavior since emptying those fields doesn't trigger the automatically populated fields to empty themselves as well.

Can I somehow just turn off this behavior?

I have the same question (0)

The triggers are on those fields. I can fire on change on them manually from the F12-console and it triggers the retrieve function and populates various Lead fields with information that was retrieved from account\contact.

I've even found the script that is doing it - it's buried deep somewhere in an obfuscated minimized app.js of the form. For obvious reasons I'm not going to mess around with it since it's highly unsupported.

Ok then Go to the form property and check which field is a trigger point. Because it may be above Mentioned Account/contact field

    Unfortunately it's not the case.

Field mapping doesn't work that way.

What I'm facing here is a client side behavior, there is a script firing on change event of a particular fields.

I've tried to disable field mapping between contact and lead anyway and it didn't affect the form behavior at all.

    Hello Alexander Genkin,

Yes you can remove this particular feature which is happening because of field Mapping.

You will have to get the Relationship which is used and then need to disable the field mapping.

Refer below article or blog which will help you to resolve this issue.
