Hi,

we are trying to customize the Opportunity Close Form following the MS docs: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales-enterprise/customize-opportunity-close-experience

However it does not work what changes I make in the forms does not reflect out when opening the close dialog.

So am I missing something and as I understand I have to do the changes in both forms.

Hi,

As a conclusion to this issue, I did post a Support request to Microsoft regarding this and as it turned out this was a bug that could happen on certain instances. We had it both on our Sandbox and Production instance. The solution to the issue was for Microsoft to run a mitigation script on both our instances and after that the Custom Opportunity Close Form started to behave as expected.

Hi Clofly,

I was able to revert back and the old dialog open again, I will try to add all forms to the app and see if that helps.

thanks for the reply, however I seem not to be able to set enable for mobile, as these are disabled any other setting i'm missing?

Hi Martin,

in my environment(crm, yours is crm4), total checked entities items equal to numbers in Entity View,

So there are 54 entities have been checked by default.(While 0 in your environment?)

If I disable the opportunity close item/entity, then it will change back to dialog.

When you open Forms, do all forms have been selected?(In my env they did)

And if you open Quick create form, you shall see your customization in modern form editor:

So did you encounter the error when you only checked the opportunity close item in ARTIFACTS?

could you recovry by uncheck it again?(but it shall be checked otherwise we can only see dialog even if the option is enabled)

If it could recover, then try to reload page to test again.

If it still not works, I thought it could be caused by we have different region, then you could open ticket in this situation.

Yes. You want to enable the opportunity close entity for mobile. Open the go to settings>customize>customize the system. Expand the entities, scroll down to opportunity close, click on it and scroll down to outlook and mobile. Enable for mobile. Save, then publish

Hi,

Thanks for the assistance on this, yes I added the Close Opportunity Entity and Form to the artifact in our Model-Driven up.. And now really strange things are starting to happen. Now if I click on Close as Won / Lost I get this error?

any ideas?

Hi Martin,

Did you add the opportunity close form to the app? You can do this by (click on the gear icon if you're in the Unified Interface > Advanced Settings) navigating to settings>My Apps. Click on the ellipse on the app you're trying to add the form to, then click open in app designer as shown below; find opportunity close in the list, click on forms next to the opportunity close entity and check the box next to the form.Save and publish your changes.

Hi Martin,

That's an very unexpected behavior.

I still suggest you could try to clear cache and sign in to CRM again to test whether it would be changed.(make sure saved and published for the customization) before you finally open up a ticket.

(Because even if I disable the option, it still won't be changed back to dialog if I don't refresh page, it would be a backend change)

thanks for the information. the Settings part I did miss, however I did change that to yes but still its not working for me, I still get the old dialog!

Maybe I have to open up a ticket to MS about this..

Hi Martin,

Have you also enabled the Customize close opportunity form option in System settings?

If you enabled it, the opportunity close dialog will become a quick create form then you can see your customization.
