Hi All,

Is it possible to track the user activities on which page or screen or form user visited  in D365FO?

We have some custom forms (ISV Model) where certain tabs have some sensitive information.  We have technical team consists of 5 members who have got system administrator security role. These are read-only information.

Our business users don't want these system administrators to view this information. Also, They do not want to control this screens by way of using security roles.

Is there any way we can just track the user activities where if user goes on that screen just to view the information and we have a log of it?

I know database log feature does the job of logging but that is used for Data Insert/update/delete operations.

Do we have any screen/report where system shows what all screens user has visited in a particular duration?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Apart from the user login tracking feature in LCS (docs.microsoft.com/.../user-logins), I don't know of any built-in feature that might satisfy that requirement.

May I inquire why won't they allow to control this through security roles? Seems like that's the best option to me.

    Hi IamVikky,

There is an Estonian localization where access to certain private details are logged. This is using some additional x++ coding to log access from a users activity of which forms/records related to the private details were opened. You can review how that has been achieved and also implement some additional x++ coding for your requirement.
