How can I sort data by a calculated field in Report Writer?

I need create a header by using a calculated field. If the field is not a key, a sort definition has to be created first. But it looks to me that there is no way to create a sort definition with calculated field.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hi Richard,

I'm not going to be any help - but I don't know of a way to do this in Report Writer.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Thanks for the response, Leslie. Since there is no way to do this in Report Writer, does VBA help in this case then?

    Hmm,

I'm not sure about sorting, that's pretty hard coded in Report Writer. Perhaps someone out there knows a secret method. I do not, short of a third-party solution that is.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
