Error while generate standard AX Report in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Hi,

I was trying to generate a standard report, naming Customer Account Statement (AR>Reports>External).

However the error message "The underlying connection was closed. A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server" prompt out after generate a report.

Besides, I also noticed that SQL Server Reporting Services stopped after I try to generate a report in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

I started the services and regenerate the report in AX. Yet it still produces same results.

Is there any way to solve this issue?

    HI Thin,

Could you please let me know before Generate Full CIL , did you do any steps ?

In UAT server we are facing the same issues while run any reports...

Even I ran Vendor and Customer report with One vendor and One Customer. Got same error...

    Hi Vilmos,

    Thanks for the answer.

I'm able to generate the report without any error, after I Generate Full CIL in AX.

    Thanks and regards,

    Lieu

Please check the Event log on the AX AOS, SSRS server and SQL Server hosting the Reporting DB, and see if there are any related errors. Also take a look at the SQL Server logs by connecting with the SQL Server Management Studio client to your SQL instance hosting the reporting DB and see if you get anything logged at the time when you try to run the report and the service goes down.

SSRS does have a default 10 minute timeout, which you can change by navigating to the /Reports URL (you can also find the web URL in the AX table called SRSServers), and selecting Site settings with an administrative account. You may change the setting not to time out, but I doubt that this is your problem. Must be something else.

You could also try to run the AX Client Configuration utility on your SSRS server, and refresh the WCF configuration both for the Local client and the Business connector.
