I am getting error 'wrong argument types in variable assignment' in main method of a controller class.
Need your help.

It seems that record() contains something else than GOCD_GateOutwardSlip record. Check if it has a value at all and if so, which type it is.
For instance, you can assign the value to a variable of type Common and check the actual type in debugger.
clear the cache and delete all the AUC files from appdata and try again

Can please share the source from where you are calling this class, for verification of table buffer use common table buffer for assignment and then check the table ID.
