Email send throtling

Hi

We have a requirement to stagger email sends for certain emails. For example when sending emails to a large base or promoting a popular product in order to reduce load on our website. 

Does Dynamics 365 Marketing support email send throttling or wave sends? Is this configurable at an individual email level?

If not are there any email systems that fully integrate with MS CRM that have an email send throttling/wave send feature?

    Hi,

    You can try to use the customer journey in Marketing.

    For example, set the split and Wait For action to send by batch.

    Now you can send to a certain percentage of contacts at one day intervals.

    What's more, you can set recurring.

    Thanks. This feels like a bit of a workaround. Would prefer an option to set the throttling in the email itself (so the single email is staggered to the audience in batches) rather than needing to create multiple emails just to manage load hitting a website. 

    Would love to know if there are email systems that fully integrate with Dynamics 365 that have a wave send or email throttling feature.

    Hi,

    This setting isn't available in OOB Dynamics 365 for Marketing.

    We can only manage this thru the customer journey.

    You can create a new idea through the below URL, then ask your colleagues to raise up the votes.  

    Ideas (dynamics.com) 

    Our product team has direct visibility of these ideas and they will implement it on the basis of the highest number of votes received.
