How to change the background colour for a marketing page with a form

Posted on by 176
Hi

We have a number of marketing forms that we've created and added to marketing pages. Currently the entire page is white and this looks very poor on modern wide monitors.

What i'd like to do is keep the background colour of the form and column white, but change the background colour of the rest of the page to be a light grey.  I've tried adding some code snippets (eg style=/background-color:#e8e8e8/) but i'm not sure if it's the way D365 pages are setup or my basic html skills but i only ever seem able to change the colour of the margin/padding around the form rather than the entirety of the background of the page.

Can someone please advise of the steps I need to take to achieve the look I want?

Thanks!

    Hi Partner,
    Way1:
    Please check this page as following shown:
    Based on your screenshot, other colors are shown next to the white area:
    1.Check layout max width, do not set too large a value:
    2.Check properties of the section/column:
    1)Style:
    --Tring to change background color, to check to see if the large white areas are all section/column
    2)Spacing:
    --Check to make sure that you are not setting too large a value for padding and margin.
    Way2;
    You mentioned that other pages are fine, you can copy html code from one of these pages, and paste code into current marketing page, then replace the form element as needed.
    Way3:
    Or you can share HTML code of this marketing page, i can test it to find more.

    Thanks Leah, that's very helpful and has helped me update most of my pages! The instructions were very clear and well presented, thanks.

    Before I close the post, i still have an issue with one of my pages which still has a huge white padding on either side of it. It's the same as my other forms and pages, and has a max width of 750px, yet it still seems to be displaying as full screen width. It may be too hard for you to help without access to our system but any ideas on what may be causing the issue, i just can't find anything in the html

    Hi Partner,
    You can easily change background color of the all page through editing HTML.
    --Under 'HTML' tab, find body style, add it: background-color: rgb(232, 232, 232);

    Please refer to the following for more details:
    1.When you add one form to the marketing page, the form element is put in the column, and column is in the section,outside of section is the rest of the page.
    2.The background color of the column will impact form, you need keep it white.
    3.To make it easier for you to tell the difference, I've set another background color for section(Just for testing):
    --For the section color in your example, you can choose either white or light gray, both of which are fine.
    4.Under 'HTML' tab, find body style, add it: background-color: rgb(232, 232, 232);
    5.Result:
    Note: color converter
