    Hi Denis,

You should check partnersource for new features in 2009 plus some marketing material.

    Please clarify your 2nd question.

    regards,

    g.

    Hi Gabor,

I already search into PartnerSource to check new features in 2009. Based on what I found, I already found 1 features, which is :

    - Can Export Excel file and imported it again

    Nohing found else.

    About my 2nd question :

I have client that already implement NAV 4.0, but they didn't have tools license to develop. Right now, they need one modification. Since I have livense tools for NAV 2009, can I use my license into my client tools?

MSDN has a lot of information on NAV. Here are some links:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd338997.aspx

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd301204.aspx

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../ee414199.aspx

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../ee423673.aspx

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg502505.aspx

Then just look at the left side to move around and you will see a lot of informaition on NAV. We post most documentation to MSDN for our products now.

Sorry, i should have added some version 5 information since you are moving up from version 4. We only have the most current version on MSDN, so you may be interested in some version 5 since that would be new also to a version 4 customer but would not be in the What's New part of 2009 since implemented on NAV 5. Partnersource has some information such as some training:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../WN_NAV5.0_Training.htm

look on the right side for the downloads when you get to above link.

Hope this helps out. Oh, next time instead of using Google, if you use Bing you may find the information :)  Just had to put in a plug for the 'real' search engine.

    Hello Nick,

Thank you so much for your answer. Now, I'm clearly about the different.

Anyway nick, can I ask about my 2nd question?

How about the license tool that need to modification on my client that run on NAV 4? I already ask into several people, and they said, I can't run my NAV 2009 license tool into NAV 4. But many other said, I can run it.

Can you give clear information about this?

    Denis,

I am a little confused when you say "License Tool", but i am going under this assumption. You simply want to take your NAV 2009 Partner license, put it on a version 4 install of your customer, make a modification, and then put back the Customers License after you make the modification. If that is what you want to do, that will work just fine. You would NOT want to however leave a NAV 2009 license on 4.0 as some of the granules have changed is my understanding, but to just make a modification, and then put them back, you are fine to do that.

    Nick,

Here's the case that my client face right now.

Right now, my client running on NAV 4.0. and at this time, they want to do modification one and several thing.

Since they don't have license tool for modification, they contact me to do the modification. The problem is, I only have NAV 2009 partner License.

The problem is, can I use my license to help them to do the modification?

    please inform me.

Yes, you can use your license to make a change, just make sure to put theirs back after you do the modification.
