Migrate CRM 2011 On-Premise to Dynamics 365 CRM On-Line V9

Posted on by 55

Dear Team

I want to migrate CRM 2011 On-Premise to Dynamics 365 CRM On-Line V9.

There is any direct method or way, to just export the Unmanaged Solution (containing all Customization) from CRM 2011 On-premise and import that Unmanaged Solution directly in Dynamics 365 Online V9.

After importing solution in D365 CRM Online V9, Connect SQL Server Integration Services to CRM 2011 On-Premise Database and import the Entity Records one by one into Dynamics 365 Online V9 from Dynamics CRM 2011 On-premise Database.

Please guide me about this as this is my first experience.

Thanks

Hi - we offer the upgrade of solutions and the migration of data at a fixed price using Synchronicity Echo.

    https://www.synchronicity-systems.com/Echo

Usually about 10% the cost of a services engagement to do the same thing, and the service covers all source data.

Let me know if you'd like to discuss in more detail

    Alex.

    Dear Kumar

Thanks a lot for your kind reply.

Would you guide me about the Lifecycle Service LCS. Using LCS, we are able to migrate from CRM 2011 On-premise to Dynamics 365 CRM Online v9 ? or we have to still face the same sequence first on 2013, then 2013 sp1, then 2015, then 2016 and at last v9 using LCS.

Would you also share with me, either LCS is free or how/where we get the access to LCS.

    Look forward for kind reply.

    Kind Regards

    Amin

    Hi Amin,

No there is no way of importing customizations from 2011 to 365 v9. you will get errors.

you are going to need to do full migration . you cannot jump directly to Dynamics 365 on-premise. You’ll need to upgrade to Dynamics CRM 2013, 2013 SP1, 2015, and 2016, and then install the latest update to 365 and then finally go online. . This upgrade process can take a long time and, the older the CRM version installed, the harder it will be to upgrade because of all the customizations and codes that have been deprecated.

Each step is necessary and important.

data should not be an issue though. You can directly install data from 2011 to v9 using scribe or other tool.
