    Hi Gmanunta81,

First, we need to clarify that Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Office 365, they are two different products.

Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement is the CRM part of Dynamics 365, Dynamics 365 includes CRM (Customer Service, Field Service)and ERP (Finance and Operation)

Please refer to below for some basic introduction of those two products.

Agree with Steve Yao. These are the different products and you can buy them separetly. The advantages both products together are:

    1. You will have Office licenses (Word, Excel, OneDrive ...)

    2. Easy to integrate Dynamics 365 with exchange

    3. You can set up integration with SharePoint (depend on Office plan)

    4. Integration with Office 365 groups

    5. Integration with PowerApps

    6. Integration with PowerBI

    7. Integration with Flow(Power Automate)

    8. You can use Teams for easy collaboration in company

I agree with Steve and Andrey with their answer.

Once I was talking to one of my customer and listening to him made me write an article which does not list technical feature instead trying to related Dynamic 365 CRM with business objectives.

As business people takes times to understand Dynamic CRM vocabulary.

Refer here for short notes :
