Font size randomly changing

I have AX 2012 R2. Sometimes the font size enlarges on some windows. If I close and reopen the form it corrects itself.

One time I didn't have my hand on the keyboard or the mouse, I was just looking at screen, and the form refreshed and the font size increased (that was a one-time occurrence; usually it doesn't change once the form has opened).

This is quite random and can happen to any form. I'm not sure if it's the actual font or just the font size. Please see screenshots below.

Has anyone else seen this before and any ideas why this happens?

I have also been experiencing this quite a bit - and unfortunately, I have not yet found a solution to this.

Hi Nehal,

I have seen it happening as well. I did not pay any attention to it. I think it can be caused by using terminal server or Citrix. Are you using remote desktop applications?

I have seen this behavior in AX going back to 3.0. It also occurs on a local installed client and is not related to application hosting (remote desktop, remote app, or Citrix).

André: Everything is local for me (including the server).

Brandon: I'm surprised it has been there for so long (personally, I have not used anything before AX 2012). Maybe this is such a low priority issue that Microsoft hasn't bothered putting any resources into fixing it.

Nehal,

Try asking someone who has been working with AX for a long time (5-10 years) how they feel about deleting AUC (formerly AOC) files, and how often they have to do it, and how that bug has been around for 10+ years and nobody seems to be able to fix it. I'm sure quite a few experts on this forum have wasted many an hour of their life doing that, or worse banging their head on what they thought was a real problem only to do that and have it work. /sigh

I am able to witness few inventory counting journals entries missing when i check in different aos connections in the same DB, Upon refresh data with run on server it was still missing. I had to stop the service,It worked. Anyone found this strange incident any where else.

Brandon,

Yes, I've had to delete AUC files as well. I always assumed all these little things (including the font issue) are a result of the major changes in AX 2012 from AX 2009. Hopefully the major changes are complete and AX will start to stabilize in coming releases.

start the ax client with "disabled display calling on high DPI settings"

ax client --> properties --> compatibility --> disable display scaling on high DPI settings

that's works for me
