I came to realize after 3 years in Dynamics Sales, that VAT validation is not working across users resulting to duplicates.
Is there a way to fix that?

I came to realize after 3 years in Dynamics Sales, that VAT validation is not working across users resulting to duplicates.
Is there a way to fix that?
Business Rules, Classic Workflows or Plugins (using Plugin Registration Tool)
or maybe is just a text field with no implementations attached.
If you want it to hold only unique values you can set it as an alternate key (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/data-platform/define-alternate-keys-portal) but you need to make sure you have no duplicates before setting it as a key

You're right, this must be the case.
I looked around in flows aw well as VAT field, yet I couldn't find such an implementation.
Do you happen to have any suggestions on where to look for that?
as far as I know there isn't a VAT validation functionality out of the box in Dynamics 365 for Sales. Probably is a custom implementation you have in your system, you should check it and see if it can be expanded to meet your needs.
