They should simply post a corrective transaction.

Thank you al for the reply.  Happy Holi from India .

Yesterday I gt a werird request .They had posted a journal with value as 600 .They wanted me to change it from backend to 570.

I asked them to pass correction entries as this is not possible to do from backend. The user were like the entries will be shown. I informed not possible from backend. I gooled and found some say it is possibly to  delete it. So just was ensuring from experts point of view.

    Hi NDingankar22,

    Fully agree with Nikolaos.

Deleting transactions is against the law in all countries where I worked so far and might result in severe penalties.

Why don't you simply use the standard reversal functionalities or - if they are not available - reverse the transaction manually?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

You can't delete posted transactions from the ledger via the user interface and should not attempt it via code, either. You risk breaking the law (messing up your accounting records) as well as corrupting your data.

You can reverse transactions or post other corrective transactions if you need to fix some wrong postings.

    Hi,

Why do you want to delete them? Have you looked at "Reverse a transaction" feature docs.microsoft.com/.../reverse-a-transaction
