Rehire button on the Terminate worker screen

I notice there's a slider button for rehire allowing a yes-no selection. I don't see that it does anything though. Can someone explain this feature?

    It's just a point of reference. When a worker leaves, you can indicate if this is someone you would be willing to rehire in the future or not. It's visible in the grid view on the 'past workers' list.
