Inactivate accounts in the Chart of Accounts view?

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to inactivate accounts that are showing in the Chart of Accounts view?
I know that there is an option to delete them but I would rather just have them inactive if it's possible.

Thank you in advance
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I think this is possible with customization.

    Hi
You could rely on the standard blocking option.

That depends on your actual business case.
What is it exact that you want to achieve?
    (a) make those 'inactive' accounts invisible in the Chart of Accounts page?
    (b) make those 'inactive' accounts invisible in the dropdown in document/journallines to prevent users posting on them?

    (a) solution
All accounts will show up in te Chart of Accounts Page, regardless of their Blocked state.
Obviously you can add a personal filter Blocked = FALSE and store it.

    (b) solution
set the Blocked field to TRUE on the G/L Account card.
Accounts will be unselectable in document/journallines.
Do note: do not simply block accounts for comfort-reasons, the accounts become completly unusable.
Jobs in the likes of Close Income Statement, Consolidation, Budget creaton will be jeopardized they require an account that was blocked.

Hi, you can try the following method first.
    Save and personalize List Views

If you need to open a certain view by default, I hope the following information can give you some tips.
Dynamics 365 Business Central: How to set the default view/layout for a list page (Predefined List View)

    If you consider customizing:
Dynamics 365 Business Central: How to make some filters mandatory on the list page (users can not change or remove)

    Thanks.
