Hi, This may be related to SO reservations - The issue is that when we close a production order and say 2 FGI items are completed, those items become available only for a second for that SO, and then they are not available such that we can't seem to packing slip those items as there is no stock available for that SO!
From AR parameters, SO reservation is set to "automatic". Does AX auto allocate these units to any another SO? Issue is that we don’t have available stock to generate a packing slip for that particular SO. Is there any settings that we need to update in order to prevent this?

Hi, Indeed AX tries to do automatic reservations on any SO. If you create the production order from the SO, the production order and sales order are linked.
If the production orders are created manually it is better to reserve manually.
If you create the production orders by using master planning, check the Master planning parameter "Update marking". If this field has the value 'No', AX will do what he thinks is best.
