Help Server Installation with multiple instances AX2012R2

Hi,

I want to install the AX Helpserver for one instance. I have a server with four AX instances, but only the last two are activ. When I start the setup fails with: WSDL URI not accessible

I see the fault, the Setup tries to connect to the wrong WSDL Port ( http://server1:8101/DynamicsAx/Services/MetadataService ), that is one of the two old instances. How can I say the Setup to get the correct WSDL Port (8104)?

    i am having issue with AX help server. i have three AOS servers and i installed help sever component in AOS3. help work well in AOS3 and URL is also accessible but when i open up client in other AOS server (1 &2) i get the message that "unable to contact server, contact Administrator". i tried to browse the URL and its not accessible ... any help will be appreciated

    The Helpservice.svc is located on the server you installed AX Helpserver and the port number would be the port number of the website which host the DynamicsAX6HelpServer contents. So "localhost:8104" would be incorrect.

    Please do the folllowing:

    1) Go to System Administration -> Setup -> System -> Help system parameters and verify the help service URL. The help service URL should be - http://<servername>[:port]/DynamicsAX6HelpServer/HelpService.svc

    where servername is the server you installed AX helpserver and specify the port number if it's not 80.

    2) If you had to change the Help service URL, restart client

    3) After a client is opened, press F1 and see if the help server contact can be accessed.

    You can also try enter the help service URL in a browser and the service would response.

    but now I have another Problem, I can't Access

    http://localhost:8104/DynamicsAXHelpServer/HelpService.svc

    I tried also calebmsdax.wordpress.com/.../about-ax2012-help-server-and-how-to-install

    but nothing works...

    I can Access http://localhost:8104/DynamicsAx/Services/MetadataService

    Hi,

    Verify that the client config and business connector client config are both pointing to the correct server (the one with WDSL port 8104). I think the installer use one of those 2 to find the parameters for the server.

    If not, then you can try use procmon.exe (http://live.sysinternals.com/) and see if you can locate where the installer is looking at when getting the connection configuration.
