Create case from email: Time from incoming email, (Outlook) to case created in Dynamics

Hi,

I´m working as an consultant implementing a customer service solution for my customer.

They´re using Dynamics cloud and have a connection to Outlook to create Dynamics cases from incoming emails.

It works fine, though my customer has concerns regarding the time it takes for case to be created/show in Dynamics from when it´s incoming in Outlook.

Problem is that they have incoming orders with a short SLA. Average it takes about 5 min from email coming in in Outlook until the case is created/show in Dynamics, though sometimes it even takes longer than that, (up to 15 min).

I tried to find if MS have any SLAs for create case from email. Or what the average time is/should be?

Is there anything you can do to speed up the process/sync.

Any tip is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Best,

Johanna

    Hello Johanna,

Please check if you can reduce the Case creation rule. Also if there are any workflow or plugin triggered in Case creation, you can check if those can be removed or run in background or post async. Reduce the list of fields from auditing. Check if there are any business rules that can be reduce or removed.

    Good Luck

    Best Regards
