Hei Andre

Hobe that you can help me.

I have this AX2012R2 running in a Virtual BOX.

First, I cut not use the Microsoft Dynamics AX Management Shell to get a list of defaults reports.

Then I tried to Register SRSFrameWorkService. I  gave me the error in DataContainerType.

Then I activated all levels(sys, syp, usr) in Macro DATACONTAINERTYPE so that all instances was activated.

But there were still this error in  DataContainerType.

I tried to do a full ‘Compile into .NET Framework CIL’

But thise gave me a lot of errors:

Type name does exist, The SysWEorkF..getattribute.. reflection API Please Check the Parameters…

……………

Hobe that somebody can give me a hint what to do?

Thanks

JAN

    Hi Jan,

Try to see if there are any changes between the sys and usr layer. If not, you can delete the usr layer. If there are changes, you need to add the differences from the syp layer into the usr layer.

To achieve this, you can right click the Macro 'DataContainerType' node and choose the Compare... function.

    Hi Andre,

There is differences between the sys and the usr layer.

However, when I look at the differences between syp and usr the differences are belonging to the usr layer.

Therefore, there are no differences to add from syp to the usr layer

    Thanks for your answer.

    Kind regards Jan

    Hi André

Now I have a new problem.

I now have external hard disk connected on USB3.

I install a new AX2012R2 on this external disk.

Now I would try to see if it works faster than the one on the internal drive.

But I cannot create a new WM in my Oracle Virtual Box.

When I try to attach the VHD from external drive it is telling my that’s not possible because

It has the same UUID as another machine.

    Yes I can see why.

But I like to test with the external drive before doing anything with the existing VM who is working.

    Do you have a tip???

    Thanks

    Regards Jan

This problem is related with how Oracle Virtual Box Works...

    Try also this link: forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php

It provides a command to change the UUID without removing the old hard drive.

PS I'm not using Virtual Box anymore. I'm using Hyper-V and Azure :-)

    Hi Andre

I found an easy solution to this UUID problem.

In my virtual box in Virtual Disk Handling I was able to easily make a copy of the VHD used in internal drive. So this new copy I was copying to the external drive. After that it was easy to create a new VM instance with the external VHD (the copi) as the harddisk.

So now everything is working. Just fighting with the speed.

    Regards Jan

    Hi Jan,

Thanks for the feedback. Part of the MSDN subscription is a test account for Azure. You can spend a monthly amount on cloud services. Now I'm running two machines in Azure. Start them when I need it; shut down when I'm finished. Workes quite OK due to more available memory.

    Hi Andre

Now I am trying to get it to work on this Azure platform.

I am stocked in "Create and Upload a Management Certificate for Windows Azure"

I cannot find the Visual Studio prompt. Yes, I know where the Makecert.exe is in Microsoft SDKs.

However, when I try to open a new prompt:

    Command:                ...\makecert.exe

    Arguments:               %comspec% /k ""C:\Program files (X86)\Microsoft Visual studio 10.0 \VC\vcvarsall.bat

    Initial Directory:        $(projectDir)

It does not work.  The prompt close immediately

    Regards Jan
