License Plate in Transfer Orders

Is there any possible configuration to transfer 2 items from one warehouse and receive these items with the same license plate to another warehouse?

I have an scenario with 4 boxes, 2 for one item and 2 for another, each box is LP controlled and has a license plate. Box1, Box2, Box3, Box4.

When I execute the transfer on the mobile device I pick each box, but the system ask me for a new license plate in order to put all the boxes in this license plate. If I create a new LP all my labels will be useless. If I move 1000 boxes in one day for example, I need to put a new label on each sets of boxes and I will set more complexity to the operation and lose agility :S.

Have any other been dealing with this problem?

I don't think you will be able to use the same license plate via the mobile emulator. You may get the error license plate is not valid.

A customization is required for this.

Same license plate can be used only if you make it free and use another license plate in staging area. And then reuse the 1st LP in another warehouse.

Hi, i think that you need to build a new license plate which contains the boxes' license plates.

I haven't used that functionality yet, but as far as i know, you can setup a mobile device menu item which is called "License plate build" and you will be allowed to pick the license plate labels from your boxes and consolidate them in one parent license plate.

That's the license plate that you will send to your destination warehouse and that you will used it to received (you will need to receive your transfer using "LP receiving" menu item).

After you have received it, you can setup another mobile device menu item called "License plate break", to break your consolidated license plate.

Note that you can also add a work line on your work template to build / break your consolidated license plate (instead of choosing Pick/put type work, you choose the indicated to build/break license plate).

As i have told you i haven't tryed that funcionality, but think it is what you are looking for.

I have the same issue how do you figure out how to solve it? I cant find the LP break menu item. Thanks

Hi all,

I faced the same problem in my configuration. I have items managed by pallet and traced by LP per pallet. Every time I picked a pallet, the system asked me a new target LP to replace that I just picked.

After multiple attempts, I solved the problem by setting the device menu items with "Override target license plate" & "Generate license plate" unchecked.

Because it functions, I think that another condition must be satisfied: the quantity that you pick, in inventory unit, must be equal to "Packing quantity" of the item.

You can check it on work record and it depends on the highest unit of measure of the "Unit sequence group" linked to the Item.
