Error while posting the Journal against project

Hi Friend,

Recently I encounter the issue that while posting the Journal for the project I am getting error "No Account number exist for account type Invoiced revenue" for my Fixed price project type. Since I am posting the cost why system giving me this error. And when I create the record in the Posting profile for Invoice revenue without defining in the Ledger account just the line for project group, it get posted. I am not sure why its happening like this, I am Using D365 finance and operations 10.0.15 (10.0.644.10015) and Installed platform version : Update39

Hi Imran,

What is the journal type you are posting Time/Expense/Material?

Hi Mark,

sorry for late response.

These are expenses recording through the General journal not Expense journal.

Hi Imran,

This would also depend on the project you are posting to, if this is a T&M project with WIP then you would expect it to pick up revenue account profiles.

If it is a fixed price project you are posting to then it shouldn't pick up revenue profiles.

The third option is if it's an intercompany posting then this would again look for revenue posting types.
