What setting make Down arrow is add new record ?

Hi all,

When creating new form (custom) with a grid list, I found I cannot press down arrow to automatically create new record right after the current pointer.

Is there a parameter setting, or I should write a special code for this ?

you can't create a new record when you click on down arrow !

Hi,

Can you share a standard form, where when u click down arrow a new record gets inserted?
and the exact steps you followed as I never tried it

Hi,

Sorry, what I mean is new line, not yet saved and inserted.

Just like when input Sales Order Line, after the 1st line, when we press down arrow, new line appear for us to select the item and other information.

to create a new line in the grid u must click on the shortcut ALT + N

Hi Teevo,

Have you checked the data source parameter InsertAtEnd? If this has the value No, you will not be able to use the arrow key to add a new record in the related grid.
