MS Dynamics CRM upgrade to V9.0 Error - Error while importing Rollup fields name OpenDeals

Hi All,

We're trying to Upgrade our on-premise CRM instances from Version 8.2.2 to V9.0 (9.0.24.8 build)

We were able to successfully do an import org on 2 instances but failing on 1 of them. We tried a bunch of things but in vain.

The most predominant error we see is : Error : Error while importing Rollup fields name OpenDeals.

Has anyone encountered this during their upgrades ?

Noticed that this is an OOB rollup field on the account entity and made sure we do not have the account entity in our solutions before taking the db backup. It has not helped. We still get the same issue.

Appreciate any suggestions and advise on how to tackle this.

Snippet from the Error Log :

    hi,

Extract the solution file and open the Solution.xml file from within with Notepad.

Search the roll-up field and delete the same line from this file. Zip the file again and import again.

Unfortunately, bugs in this model have occurred a lot in import and export solutions, and there is still no specific reason for them!

    best regards.

    Hi!

We have problem with an UPGRADE and not with an IMPORT of a solution.

    We are IMPORT a DB.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the mistake

I had this problem before and realized that in the first step you should not update version 9 and then import the database

First you have to install version 9, then import the database, then update to 9.0.24.8

    Best Regards.
