Payment made but no open invoice - issue from migration

An issue arose from the migration from QuickBooks to Business Central.

Payments cleared the bank for inventory and were recorded, but we do not have the open invoice to reconcile. Creating an invoice would through off the balance of inventory and payable.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

    How was the QuickBooks invoice imported? Was it imported as closed i.e. paid?

    Hi, is it that the Invoices in QuickBooks are not imported into BC? According to MS Docs, both Open invoices and Open payments should be able to be imported. You can check the data in QuickBooks first.

    Thanks

    @Valentin

    • The invoice were paid in QB, but with a postdated check.
    • The invoice was reversed in the new system (Business Central)
    • Then the payment went through, but were not part of the open checks that was migrated over.
    • Now we have a payment without an invoice to match it to.
