Vendor Summary Data

The client has a fiscal year ending 6/30 and the 1099/calendar year ends 12/31.  They recently closed "All Years" in the routine of closing the 1099 and now both last close years are 12/31/2013.  The issue is that they use this summary data for analysis and negotiation with some vendors and now the Last Year Summary and This Year Summary appears distorted.  Is there any way to rebuild the "This Year" buckets for 7/1/2013 thru current and the Last Year bucket for 7/1/2013 thru 6/30/2013 without a lot of effort?

Thanks,

Dave

I was following along real good until you said "without a lot of effort".  I would suggest a custom report to pull the data needed.  Heck, even a good SmartList would provide it.

some people have suggested changing (through SQL) the year end closing and fiscal end closing date and running reconcile but I have never been able to make this work.

I think the reconcile process takes into account the period summary table where there are flags indicating history records which apparently compromise the reconciliation.  I have had issues with that also.

    Thanks
