Hi,

On my machine SharePoint Server 2010 is running , i want to install Enterprise Portal on SharePoint machine. When i run pre0requisit validation test, all test passed except one error

Error : The Microsoft SharePoint Central Administration web site must be running

I have checked Central adminsitration site is running i am able to browse central adminsitration site, have created team site for Enterprise Portal.

Kindly advice what i am missing and how to fix issue.

Hello Irfan!

Open your IIS manager and just stop all the application pools and websites leaving just the Sharepoint Admim and the Sharepoint - 80 website and application pools started and try setup your EP again.

i did same thing but still getting same error.

attached is my setting , pls guide where i am doing wrong and what have to do to fix it.

from your print screen i can see that you did not stoped the default website. try stop default website too.

Your user account doesn't have enough rights on one of the SharePoint databases. If you look to Event Viewer you will find similar error message like this
