Hello,
We are currently using Dynamics GP 2016 R2 with the Web Client. We are trying to figure out site ID's.
1. We have a lot of site codes listed for a user to choose when creating line items on requisitions. Is there a way to limit the site ID's that they can choose from by the user or department that they are in? Or even by physical location (ship-to address)?
2. Also, is there a quick way to update the address for the site codes? A lot of the site ID's have inaccurate addresses which makes the user not want to choose it since it doesn't match their location. I can't figure out how to export this information, correct it and re-import. Maybe it's more technical than my abilities.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Amanda
Watch the benefits presentation and decide which of the three modules you want.
You will need Developer Tools module for the customisation and I recommend every site has Administrator Tools module.
Pricing is on the website or portal (http://WinthropDC.com/GPPT)
I would be willing to work with you to create the filtering code as long as I can publish the results on my blog to help others. I will also ensure every is setup as per the recommendations
If you need further assistance you can purchase consulting hours.

David
Hi,
I have very limited knowledge with the technical stuff. I have never worked with scripts or SQL tables. I have only heard people mention it. Unfortunately, we have very little IT support on staff for GP so we have to have a consultant. Currently, we are weighing our options with a new local consultant or keep our existing. We are a non-profit so costs play a factor into our decision. Once we have that figured out, I can reach back out to you if your product is needed. What is the cost of your product? I'd like to discuss it with the CFO.
Thanks!!
Amanda
Hi Amanda
Why are you afraid of that answer?
We could have a solution installed and operational in a hour or two and you would also get all the other benefits....

Nothing to be afraid of.How about you install and activate the free 30 day trial. Then we can work on the filtering based on your business rules.
Nothing to be afraid of.

Thank you David. I was afraid you were going to say that. I appreciate your time!

Hi Amanda
Filtering the sites is not standard functionality, but could be achieved fairly simply with a customization.
While there are a number of tools available (VBA, VSTools), GP Power Tools offers the simplest approach with no deployment or upgrades needed and no external development environments. You can add your triggers and scripts directly in GP and they are stored in SQL tables.
