When I try to add some dynamics content to an email and click the </> button the Content Assist screen opens but the area where we would expect to be able to select the field is not loading.
Tested on different browsers
Anyone else had this issue?

I ran the marketing rule set and yes, there are two processes deactivated. I have tried activating them but they don't seem to reactivate.

Thanks for the response. Sadly, this the contents of the F12 pane mean nothing to me and I can't seem to copy and paste into this window.

This seems to happen sometimes after an update. The solution is simple: turn on the right processes.
Go to the health solution hub, run the marketing rule set analysis job and enable the deactivated processes. Afterwards it should work like normal. We've had the exact same issue.
We now run this rule set after every updated. (incorporated it in our process).

Have you tried to do F12 while it tries to load and checked if there are any errors on he network calls?
