Tab [Financial Dimensions] does not show up for users other than system administrators

Hi,

the line section of form PurchAgreement contains a tab "financial dimensions". This tab is visible only for system administrators.

Even for a user, who has all relevant roles assigned, this tab does not show up.

Problem occurs in company "CEU" which means: system was not set up manually nor by data migration from an earlier version.

Is there someone, who can tell based on which decision (security key, setting, ...) this tab is being displayed?

Any help is appreciated,

Hi MSandy,

View access is lower compared to the minimal required Update, set on this form. Try if you can set the Needed permission to view or manual. I'm not sure if this part is extensible or not.

In my opinion, a person with read only access should be able to view the dimensions, so you can also create an incident for Microsoft Support.

Hello Andre,

We are using D365FO, i need to give VendTable form's TabFinancialDimensions tab access to Accountant role, I tried adding the Form control permission for TabFinancialDimensions in VendTableView privilege with Delete access level but still unable see the Financial dimension Fast tab. I observed that TabFinancialDimensions has property Needed permission set to Update.

Could you please help me here?

Hi,

Added the Form Sales Table and Tried Sales Line to add the Financial Dimensions in. Tried adding TabHeaderFinancialDimensions & TabFinancialDimensions and I get an info log saying 'Invalid Object Name' please advise if possible?

Hi Putri,

If you follow the procedure in the verified answer above, it should work. Note that the control name of the financial dimensions can be different.

Hi André

Can you help me with some problems when I apply security matrix for Finance. I created a Role "AP_Finance" that only has access to input Invoice & Payment Journal in Module Account Payable. But when I try to apply the Role into user, the user can't input the Financial dimension in Invoice Journal Lines. I try to input all menu item/tables/class that has a relation to 'Dimension' things but it doesn't work. I still can't input the financial dimension value.

and also I've check to other Journal menu (e.g. Payment Journal, Fixed Asset Journal, General Journal) have same problem like that.

any solution to solve this problem?

HI Putri,

The lookup is not working for these form elements. Nevertheless you can type the control name manually. It is not dependent on the lookup values.

I already tried the step you give above, but when I want to add new control there are no value. Its empty.

Can you give some advice why there no value when I want to add control ?
