Tab [Financial Dimensions] does not show up for users other than system administrators

Hi,

the line section of form PurchAgreement contains a tab "financial dimensions". This tab is visible only for system administrators.

Even for a user, who has all relevant roles assigned, this tab does not show up.

Problem occurs in company "CEU" which means: system was not set up manually nor by data migration from an earlier version.

Is there someone, who can tell based on which decision (security key, setting, ...) this tab is being displayed?

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks in advance

Axpediter

    Hi Axpediter,

This is because the form control TabHeaderFinancialDimensions has a property NeededPermission set to Manual.

You have to grant permissions on the privilege or the role. Go to the AOT and select the Role or Privilege. (maybe the role is easier to find)

Expand the Permissions node and select Forms. Then right-click and choose Add form. You can select the form PurchAgreement in the property value. Then select the PurchAgreement node and do another right-click. Choose Add control. Now fill the property with the value TabHeaderFinancialDimensions. Then select this new node and you can select the EffectiveAccess level. Save the Security object and the Financial dimensions (on header) are visible.

The same applies for the Financial dimensions on the Lines. This object is called TabFinancialDimensions.

    Hi AXgirl2015,

Have you tried the steps provided in the verified answer above? Also the customer details form has a similar tab page. Probably the form you are using to create the custoners is the creation form where you can quickly enter some details and then save and open e.g. de customer details form?

In that case you might need to customuze this creation form to have the dimensions available. So which exact form are you referring to?

    hello-

I am referring to the  creation form (cust create form) exactly what you said. how would I do that?

    Hi AXgirl2015,

The creation form is a dynamic build form based on the form DirPartyQuickCreateForm. This form itself is not aware of the customer table. It creates a global address book record and directly a customer in the background. This form does not have the tab control to be able to display the dimensions. I think customizing this form would be a bit difficult.

You said the dimension was mandatory. Did someone change the property Mandatory on the DefaultDimension field of the CustTable? If so, this needs to be reverted back. Then you are able to create a customer without the error. When opening the details form you can specify the dimensions.

    Hi AXgirl2015,

on the default quick create form there is no support for financial dimensions. Can you check if this is a customization?
