Filter Personal View List

Posted on by 20

Hi

Our users on Dynamics save a lot of personal views, particularly under the Contact entity. We were wondering whether there was a way to condense / organise the list when you click the dropdown to switch view. It gets quite messy over time.

Thanks

Dan

    RE: Filter Personal View List

While David answered the best part, I want to add my 2 cents.

Recently I was cleaning my Org users personal views - revoked their personal view creation privilege & streamline the process of creating such request through IT team. As we can decide if its a System view candidate or Personal view candidate, once created & shared with the appropriate team/users - we can give them privilege to edit/share for new buddies.

Sometimes users don't use better judgement, rather using the filters in grid they will create multiple different views for their purpose. I just put something together as some tips.

There's no simple way to do this at a system level, as the personal views are only accessible to the owner and anybody they are shared with, so as an administrator you can only access them by impersonating each user in turn.

Users can delete or modify their personal views via Advanced Find, select the entity the views apply to, then Saved Views
