Hi,
I apologise if this question has already been answered elsewhere, but although I could find instructions for adding links to journal lines, I could not find anyone having the same problem as me.
We are currently using NAV 2009 R2 (6.0.32012.0) alongside Bistrack software, an Epicor product. It would be useful for the accountants to be able to link miscellaneous journal lines with centrally stored documentation as we're trying to move away from files and files of printed information.
However, although we can add links as per the instructions in the help file (see below) while entering a general journal, when looking at this journal line later through view general ledger entries there don't appear to be any links associated with it in the links factbox.
So I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea why we might be having this problem with links?
To Link to a Document or Web Site Outside of Microsoft Dynamics NAV:
Open the record that you want to attach the link to, such as a customer card or sales order. If you want to attach the link to a specific line, such as a journal line, select the line.
If the Links FactBox is not displayed on the page, customize the page to display Links.
In Links, click Actions , and then click New.
In the Link Address field, enter an address for the file or Web site, such as C:\My Documents\invoice1.doc, or www.microsoft.com.
Fill in the Description field with information about the link.
Click Save.
We carry out the above for each line in the General Journal and then Post & Print.
