Hello,

I am having trouble with a workflow configuration; I have the workflow configured using a user group for approval. I added a user to the group which caused the workflow to break and I am not sure why.

The error message I am receiving is:

Stopped (error): X++ Exception: Work item could not be created. Insufficient security permissions for user *** Please review the user's security permissions to ensure they are sufficient for this workflow document and then resume the workflow.
at SysWorkflowWorkIt.

Any assistance would be appreciated! We are on 10.0.43

You need to check that the user has the necessary roles and license !

Any idea what duties or privileges it may be? I searched through security configuration, and nothing stood out to me; the user does have a full Finance license as well as access to the entities and GJ module.

Hey,

Could you please provide the screenshot of the workflow setup and the user group, as well as the security permissions.

Sometimes, restarting the Application Object Server (AOS) service can help resolve permission-related issues

Not just the user, the approvers must have proper access too. This is validated during workflow submission. So, fix that and it should be fine.

Hi,

Which exact workflow type are you using here? The privileges and duties are different per workflow.

I am using a Ledger Daily Journal Workflow, and the user is still an employee, who I am trying to configure to be part of the approval workflow as an approver.

Hi,

This is because of the users or some user in the group does not have security roles to approve workflow, please assign correct roles or privileges to solve this issue.
