The label format for the same item changes depending on where you print the label from

Posted on by 205
Hi all,

I have a question about label formats. When we print the labels via the warehouse receipt menu the system is using the right format. When we print labels via the container selection menu the system is using the wrong format. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Printing via warehouse receipt works as follow:
  1. Create a purchase order.
  2. Generate a warehouse receipt.
  3. Navigate to More Options > Line > Container Receipts.
  4. Register and export labels.
When we follow these steps, the system correctly uses the designated label format specified on the item card under the 'Item Label Group' field.

However, when attempting to print a label via:
  1. Container Selection
  2. Line
  3. Export Label
The system uses the incorrect label format.

Hi, this does not seem to be a BC function, please make sure your question is submitted to the correct forum.

the issue you describe doesn't seem to be standard BC function. If you use BC, it might be an extension and you might contact the 3rd party vendor or the dev who built it to troubleshoot.

You're asking in the general forum, therefore it's not clear which D365 product you have in mind. Isn't it D365 SCM?
