
I'm trying to install the 2018 Year End but it doesn't install. It looks like it's installing but then when I launch dynamics it's still the same version (18.4.1384). I tried to install MDOCT2022_DVD_ENUS.msp and I get the following:
Can anyone help me with what to try next?

The INSTALLDIR message could be due to something in the Windows Registry not being setup, like the directory path. You can look at that in the Windows Registry >. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Business Solutions\Great Plains\v18.0\1033\DEFAULT\SETUP
Running a Repair against Dynamics GP, if that fails, that is usually indicative of a Registry issue as well.
As for not being able to install from the DVD itself, make sure it is on the same drive you're installing onto and not over a shared network drive, local admin permissions, launch it using 'Run As Administrator', if all that fails, try setting up a Windows Installer log (i.e. voicewarmupx in Registry) and see what that shows you.
