Hi,
Since I have worked in Oracle NetSuite it has the function to download errors in a CSV format after data migration. But I am not able to download a similar file in D365.
Please advise a way to download a similar report in D365.
Regards,
Dinithi
Hi Dinithi,
If the log is not visible, then or there was no record processed or the parameter was enabled after the execution of the import job.
Hi André,
Thank you for your response once again.
I am not able to view the error log. Any idea why. I have oned the "Error Log" function too.
If you go to the Data Import Export Framework Parameters, you can enable the creation of an error file. If this is enabled, you can go to the Execution details and choose the option to view the error file from the main menu. However, this file then only contains the records with an error, but not the details.
I have written a blog in the past based on AX2012 to explain this option: dynamicspedia.com/.../
To get the data including the error in a file, you will need a customization.
Hi Ludwig,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, that is what I am doing at the moment. But I want to see the errors causing them.
Ideal if I could view the Job ID followed by the data I loaded and error in each line.
At the moment I have to go into each job ID to identify the error. Unfortunately, I have to load the a lot of data. The entire Finance component of the company.
I am desperately in need of a way to view.
Sharing the view I have in D365 at the moment. I have to select one line per time to view the error in the "Message" section.
Your help is really appreciated.
CSV had all the record that I loaded followed by the Error related to the specific line item. It was easy for me to see the records I loaded and the error specific to that line. But in D365 I have to select line by line to check the error.
Since I have a lot of data to upload this is not helpful. Do you think there is a better way to view this error? Something like export to Excel.
What is the purpose of the CSV file is you can have a more readable error log on the Dynamics 365 forms?
Do a right mouse click in the header of the job history form and then select 'export all rows'.
This will allow you downloading that stuff.
Best regards,
Ludwig
