Client doesn't like the fact that credit memos that appear on a check stub dont retain the check number in the apply table.
Credit memos are assigned to invoices and then appear on the check. However, the apply record doesn't retain which check the CM was reported on.
Has anyone overcome this issue?
Hi Mike,
The 'PM Payment apply to work file' (PM10201) stores the payment number that the credit memo printed on. This table is not cleared out, as it is retained to 'Reprint the check stub'. You can create a Smartlist on this table. It has all the payment information and credit memo information, so you can sort by the document number of the credit memo, doctype (=5 for crm), docdate, Payment nmber, voucher numbers, etc. The only thing it doesn't have is the vendor ID. (in which you can link the voucher number, doc type to the PM30200 or PM00400 table to get that on a custom smartlist.)
Hope that helps!

Hello Mike,
With your question, i am not following. If the issue is with the check stub and the credit is printing, you should be able to determine that this credit memo was included in the check run as you can see the credit on it.
Are you perhaps referring to the Check Remittance report instead of the check stub? If so, you would need to look at linking the PM20100 or PM10201 depending on if the credit has already been printed on to the report you want this to print.
Now, with the remittance report, this report is usually tough to customize at is is based off a Temporary Table. You could look at attempting add this modification in Report Writer.
If you would like assistance with this, please create a support case and we can see if we can get it added. I dont know for sure if this is possible and would need to test.
I hope this helps!
