We are implementing updated version of Dynamics AX as a functional consultant.My Employer told me that we will empty /Zero our trail balance and once again take a fresh start to get real figures in trial balance..
My question is how i can zero (effect of all posted transactions reverse) my trail balance ?

Hi Mr.Accountant,
The data that you see in the trial balance are the result of postings made.
You cannot simply zero them without making corrective postings.
Can you let us know why you have to nil the balances?
Is this a test/demo or live system?

We are in testing phase and now ready to go live that,s why we want to nill all balances we already have posted in all account. Irrespective of the fact it was right or wrong figures.

Hi Mr. Accountant,
You should be able to simply setup a new test environment based on your golden configuration system.
That is, a developer can help you creating a new demo/test company out of the golden configuration system that you setup.
This new demo/test company can then be used for additional testing and does not have any transactions posted in it; it only has the setups that are made in the golden config system.
Is this what you want to have?

i need to know further a little more, lets change this scenario if we go live and need the same change (need to nil the trial), Is there any option available to us as a functional consultant ?

Hello,
You can't get rid of existing transactions. What you can do is reverse the entire transaction set. Make sure your reversal is exact opposite of amount(previous debit are now credit and vice-versa), dates and other details are exactly same including account + financial dimensions.
E.g.
acct1 +100. 1/1/2019
Acct2. -200..1/1/2019
Create reversal general
acct1 -100. 1/1/2019
Acct2. +200..1/1/2019
Now you balance is zero for the account.
Now load correct balances by account.
No, you can't wipe out posted transactions by any button / function in the system. And in Live system you would surely not want to do that.
