Receive permission error while creating the connection. I have Storage Blob Data contributor role in my storage account, Synapse Admin role in my Azure Synapse workspace and Admin role in my DCI env, what else am I missing?

Thanks.

Is your CI environment using Customer Insights storage or your own Azure Data lake storage?

If its your own Azure Data lake storage, is it same where you are setting up your Azure Synapse Analytics connection to?

If its different storage, do you have the storage blob admin access to that storage as well?

Hi Mukesh, I'm using Customer Insights storage in my setup, and the connection I'm trying to setup is to my own Azure Data Lake storage, will that be a problem?

On the Azure Synapse workspace, the service principal for audience insights needs Synapse Administrator role assigned. For more information, see How to set up access control for your Synapse workspace. docs.microsoft.com/.../how-to-set-up-access-control

The info for the service principal for audience insights is here: docs.microsoft.com/.../connect-service-principal

I don't have role permission for my D365 in storage account resource yet, let me go setup one and provide my update later, thanks!

In the doc  it mentions to run below command in order to register the app,  should the app id value be replaced with my DCI environment id?

    '

New-AzureADServicePrincipal -AppId "0bfc4568-a4ba-4c58-bd3e-5d3e76bd7fff" -DisplayName "Dynamics 365 AI for Customer Insights"

    '

I'm waiting for someone to create a principal account in Azure Active Directory at the moment.

Followed the instructions, and create 'Dynamics 365 AI for Customer Insights and Dynamics 365 AI for Customer Insights engagement insights' with Storage Blob Data contributor roles and still getting the same error.
