Use workflow to set date with day being the 1st

So we are essentially a membership business, and as such, we have renewal dates. I have a workflow that sets the renewal date to either 1 year, 3 months, or 1 month from the date an invoice is paid. The problem is, we want the day of the month to fall on the 1st of whatever month is calculated, and it seems D365 calculates a month as 30 days. Well, since some months have 31 days and one month has 28 days, the date sometimes comes back as the 2nd or the 31st of the previous month. I could put logic in the add/subtract days, but I'd like to find a much easer solution.

I've tried using Workflow Utilities and Kaskela's Workflow Elements, but it seems they too calculate a month as 30 days.

Any suggestions?

    Hi Kyle Beanblossom,

    Please confirm my understanding:

If an invoice is paid, the renewal dates should be the 1st day of next month. For example, the invoice is paid at 02/16/2022, the renewal dates should be 03/01/2022?

Monthly is only in a few rare cases. It's mostly 1 year from the previous renewal date. So if it's 2/1/2022 the new date should be 2/1/2023, however often it end up being 2/2/2023.

    Hi kdbeanblossom,

I created an on demand workflow to add a year to renewal date, whose setting is like this:

When I run this workflow on an account record, the field value is 2/1/2023:
